Certified Appliance Recycler at your door step
Recovery Trading provides you certification required by the State of California: According to California Health and Safety Code section 25211.2(b), a person or company may transport, deliver, or sell major appliances containing MRSH only to a scrap recycling facility that is a California Appliance Recycler. WITH OR WITHOUT FREON.
California Recycling Appliance Law
Many major appliances contain materials – known as “materials that require special handling,” or “MRSH” are oils, refrigerant, capacitors and E-waste – that can harm human health and the environment if they are not properly removed and managed before the major appliance is recycled. California law requires that MRSH be removed by a Certified Appliance Recycler.
It is not necessary for a person who is certified as a refrigerant technician under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act to have certification as a CAR if he or she removes only refrigerants from major appliances. However, a person who removes refrigerants and other MRSH must be certified under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act and certified by DTSC as a Certified appliance Recycler.
Any Person or Company who handle major Appliances after it is no longer in use is responsible.
Does this law affect me?
